Boelens-Floy Elizabeth Boelens aged 88 of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord and Savior on Thursday August 24, 2017. Floy will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents Dale and Edith Philpott, sister Fern Hoekstra, husband Carl, niece Linda Carpenter, and grandson Brandon.  Floy is survived by her three sons; Gary, Brian (Diane) and Michael (Becky) Boelens, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Floy will always be remembered for her kind and loving spirit. That kindness and love was felt by all that knew her.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday August 30th at 11:00 AM at Northlawn United Methodist Church 1157 Northlawn St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI.
