LaVonne Hess passed away on January 8, 2018.  Born in Mitchell, S.D., on August 19. 1921, LaVonne later moved to Omaha, NE, where she graduated from high school, and met and married Robert E. Hess in February of 1944.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert E. Hess, her brother Richard Cornish, and her oldest son George Hess.  She is survived by her other two sons, Alan J. (Shirley) Hess and Robert C. (Connie) Hess, her four granddaughters Heather (John) Lane, Michelle (Brian) Braun, Kelcy Hess, and Stacey Hess and her great-grandson Owen Lane.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bostwick Lake Congregational United Church of Christ , 7979 Belding Rd, Rockford, on January 19, 2018, at 3:30, with visitation hours from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Bostwick Lake Church.
