Mary Lockwood Obituary

Lockwood, Mary Jane (age 90) of Grand Rapids, daughter of Walter and Dorothy Duemler, passed away shortly before midnight on Saturday, February 24th. She was preceded in death by Darrell, her husband of 62 years, and siblings Arlene Sturgis, Marge DeVries, and Robert Duemler. Mary loved to do anything with a pencil in her hand…except draw! She was an excellent bookkeeper, tax preparer, ran one-woman offices, and absolutely had to do a crossword puzzle every night.

Mary is survived by daughters Sandy Lockwood, and Sue Lockwood, granddaughter Cassie Lockwood, great granddaughter Alexia Alvarez, and siblings Betty Rhoades, Janet Steffens, Nancy Thompson, Jackie Selbach, Pat Truszkowski, and Richard Duemler. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9th from 2 to 4, and 6 to 8 pm at Memorial Alternatives Chapel.
