Michael A. Malenka passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 29, 2017. Michael finally lost the battle he just could not win. He is now at peace. Michael was loved deeply and will be missed greatly. He is survived by his mother, Susan Malenka; brother, Steven Malenka (Crystal Daily); precious niece, Holly Malenka; and his loving aunt, Margaret Malenka. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Edward Malenka, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his favorite Dog, Rowdy. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 9 at Trinity United Methodist Church (1100 Lake Drive SE) with Rev. David Nellist officiating at 11:00 am. Friends old and new may meet the family before the service at 10:30 in the Fireside Room. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Focus on Ferals at focusonferals.org, honoring Michael’s love of animals, and his pet cats in particular.
