Peggie Van Oflen age 89, of Spring Lake, passed away December 12, at Lakeshore Assisted Living. She was born August 3, 1928 to Claude and Marion Empie. She married Rea Joseph Van Oflen on June 24, 1948. She was the beloved mother of Tom (Sally), Ted (Cathy), and Kristine.  Peggie is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and her daughter, Kathleen VanDam (Scott). Abiding by Peggie's wishes, there will be no services.  Donations to Hospice of North Ottawa Community
