Adam Wade Plude, 42, lost a valiant fight with leukemia on July 3, 2019. His wife of 3 ½ years, Holly, was by his side the entire time.
Adam enjoyed a strong relationship with his God Jehovah. His favorite scripture was Psalm 55:22. Throughout his entire illness, he stayed resolute in his faith. Adam also had a passion for gaming. It was a lifelong enjoyment that brought him many hours of relaxation. But more than anything, Adam enjoyed spending time with his wife, Holly. In their 3 ½ years together they were able to travel to many places and explore the world together. Often, they simply enjoyed walking through Frederik Meijer Gardens or sitting on the couch watching British TV shows. Every night when Adam prayed with his wife, he always thanked Jehovah for bringing them together and allowing them to share their lives together. He was an amazing and dedicated husband who loved unconditionally. Adam will be missed more than words will ever describe but our hope as laid out at Revelation 21:3, 4 and John 5:28, 29 gives us the assurance we will see him again, and in perfect health. So, we only say good-bye as if someone going on an extended trip, who will return.
Adam was born in Grand Rapids, MI, April 20, 1977, to David and Wendy (Shuck) Plude.
Adam is survived by his wife Holly; his father, David; and sister, Carrie; and many cherished uncles, aunts and cousins. Adam was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Wendy; and his beloved grandmother, Betty.
A memorial service will be held at the Grandville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (4101 52nd St SW, Wyoming, MI 49418) on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1 p.m. The service will be officiated by Seth Wehner.

In his final days, Adam was especially appreciative of the support and care he received by the Spectrum Health staff on 5 Center, the Palliative Care team, oncology and hospice. Adam was especially grateful to Dr. Alan Campbell who worked so hard to cure Adam’s leukemia while helping him maintain his faith. And to Daniel Johnson, A-GNP and Ashlie Evers, PA-C, from Palliative Care, who took so much time to make sure that all Adam’s needs were met and that his final wishes could be honored by the hospital staff.
