Alana Marie (Prestia) Serek, 43, of Rockford, MI passed away on November 30, 2019 unexpectedly at her home.
Alana was born in Memphis, TN to Edward J Prestia Sr and Jacqualyn R. Prestia on October 12, 1976. She graduated from Rockford Senior High School in 1994 and went on to study accounting at Davenport University. She married Benjamin Serek, her high school sweetheart on June 14, 1997. She worked as the Accounts Receivable/Payables Manager for Wensco Sign Supplies for 20 years. Most recently she was the owner and founder of a rapidly growing business, Lil’ A Customs, LLC.
Alana is preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandmothers, Pat Prestia and Velma Durell Allen and her step-grandmother, Shirley Wilson. Her maternal grandfather, Otha Allen. Her Aunt Linda Prestia. Her Uncle Jay Prestia.
Alana is survived by her children: Hannah (22), Gabriel (17), Laura Jean (13) and their father, Ben Serek. Her father Edward (Connie) Prestia and her mother, Jacqualyn Prestia (Al Vorel). Her brothers and sisters, Sonny (Barb) Prestia Jr., Cherri’ (John) Kerr, Damon (Terra) Prestia along with her step-brother, Richard Chase, step-sisters, Aleisa Chase and Sommer (Mike) Delacruz, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 6 at 6:30 PM at The Springs Church located at 135 N. Grant Street in Cedar Springs, MI. A time to visit with the family will begin at 6 PM. Everyone is invited to stay after the service for a time of food and fellowship.
