Charlotte Lea Hancock, aged 12, of Grand Rapids passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
Charlotte has 2 sisters and 4 brothers to carry on her memory. She was loved and cherished every day. She loved babies and would have been a wonderful mother. Her smile brightened every situation. She loved to draw and design dresses. Charlotte loved music and dancing. She was stubborn and strong and a true Hancock. There wasn’t a day she didn’t make us laugh and smile. She never wanted much, just art supplies. She got to ride her first horse this year. She was so excited.
She had a wonderful life of happiness and laughter. There was one time she shaved off her eye brow which was hilarious. Charlotte had lots of fun at Silver Lake sand dunes every year. She loved anime and even bought anime movies.
Charlotte had many goals in life but mostly wanted acceptance. She loved days that she got to come to work with me. She often complimented other women because she had the belief that she needed to be the one to fix another woman’s crown without telling everyone else it was crooked. In so many of her drawings, she used 3 words. “Live, Laugh, Peace” and through this all I think that’s how she wanted us to live.
There will be a Funeral Service for Charlotte, Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 am at New Community Church, 2340 Dean Lake Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service.
