Daniel Henry Ritsema

The world lost a very special earth angel on Thursday, January 31, 2019. Daniel Henry Ritsema, who was loved by all who knew him (especially kids) passed onto the ethereal realm after experiencing a sudden heart attack, leaving behind heartbroken family and friends. He will always be remembered for making people laugh, traveling the world with his wife Judy, and being an eternal kid. 

Dan loved and adored his family, and being a supportive and fun step-dad to Ashley and Rory. He was kind, loving and caring to his nieces and nephews, always down for a game of mini golf or playing games. Dan was a trusted actuary, creating pension plans for his clients and had a passion for working out on the lawn and playing softball. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucy Ritsema. Dan is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Ritsema; step-daughter and husband, Ashley and Greg Vogel; step-son, Rory Cole; brother and wife, Gordan and Irene Ritsema; brother and wife, Russ and Faye Ritsema; sister and husband, Carol and Dick Raap; sister and husband, Laurel and John VanDerWiele; brother and wife, Paul and Josie Ritsema; sister and husband, Charlene and Bob Fuller; brother, Richard Ritsema; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and grandchildren.
