Rich (Meister), Donna Grand Rapids, MI (8/19/1942 – 8/8/2018)

Donna Madelyn (Meister) Rich, age 75, of Grand Rapids MI, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 19, 1942 to Ruth Ann and Howard Rich (both deceased) in Detroit Michigan. She graduated from Central High School and went on to obtain an associate’s degree in Psychology from Grand Rapids J.C. years later. While most of her time was spent raising her three daughters, she enjoyed treasure hunting at local antique stores and garage sales and repurposing her finds. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She spent time volunteering at the Humane Society and C- Snip and had a tender heart for all things lost and homeless.

Surviving are daughters Barbara Meister of Grand Rapids (Gaston); Elizabeth (Anthony) Allor of Fenton, Michigan (Madelyn, Claire, Emily, Matthew); Kristina (Mark) Cutro of Chicago, Illinois (Jillian, Nicholas). She was also survived by her two brothers Kenneth Rich (son John) and Steven Rich (wife Patty, daughter Kelly), both of Grand Rapids. She was proceeded in death by her sister Kathleen Rich (Kimberly, Tracy) of Big Pine Key, Florida. Also surviving is half-brother Ron Rich (Wife Ruth) of Naples, Florida.

She also leaves behind her beloved friend and caretaker, Deb Proos, to whom the family will be forever grateful. As well as her friend and helper, Fran Huber. And her cherished cat Tripper.

Per her wishes she was cremated, and a private gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to C-Snip or a charity of your choice.
