Forrest Edward “Ed” Barr Jr. September 22, 1935 – September 23, 2017 of Grand Rapids went to be with the love of his life Anne who preceded him in death in 2015. He is survived by his daughters Deborah Barr and Shelley Lee; Grandson Ron Schilling, great grandchildren Natalie, Jenna, Kaitlyn; Grandson Keith (Brandi) McClurken, great grandchildren, Makenzie, Hannah, Abigail, Olivia, Kelsey; Granddaughter Shaena (Phil) Zeigler, great grandchildren, Kaylee, Alayna and one on the way Brian Joseph. He was a long time employee of The Meijer Warehouse in Walker & Lansing. He played saxophone in several area bands including the Middleton Trio, Swingtones, and Socialaires. He raced cars and boats near the St. Clair River in Algonac, Michigan where he spent the summers. His humor preceded him. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 28, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Faith Luthern Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
