Glenn M Knapp (formerly of Greenville. Pennsylvania) passed away Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
Glenn was born on February 15. 1956 to Fred L Knapp and Mary Grace (Mowry). He is survived by his wife Deborah (Szczerbinski) and children Travis (Dawn) Knapp, Jacob Knapp, Glenna (Cody) Knapp and Clayton Knapp, step-children Christopher (Heather) and Phillip (Mily) Blaszczyk along with siblings Fred (Mary) and Dale Pasternak, grandchildren Everleigh, Aurora, Karson, Kaden and Connor; aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
Glenn was a well-known figure in the Fire Protection business (Rapid Fire Protection). He had a love for music and was a self-taught exceptional drummer for local bands where he met his best friend Tim Afton (Stagger Bush). Glenn's favorite season was summer when he could ride his Harley Sportster and his custom bike (The Purple Beast).
For those of us that got close to Glenn, we found a simple, selfless man who put family first. A true and devoted friend who was there for you no matter what. He was a man who only saw the good in others. Glenn was that guy who stopped at automobile accident scenes to make sure that everyone was all right and assisted with getting help if needed. With so many more great attributes, Glenn will be truly be missed but always in our hearts
There will be a visitation to remember Glenn Monday, December 9, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Memorial Alternatives, 2432 Fuller Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505
