Kenneth James Elliott, 79, of 1703 N Greenfield Circle NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on, 20 September 2018, after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Grand Rapids April 19, 1939, the sixth child of Harold Wesley Elliott and Grace B. (Packer) Elliott. Ken attended Central High school in Grand Rapids and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Ken married his first sweetheart and lifelong love Patricia (Morrison) Elliott of Grand Rapids on June 3, 1961. Ken retired from Lacks Enterprises in Kentwood, Michigan.
Ken was a very hard working man and was a devoted husband and father. He dedicated his life to providing for the enjoyment and happiness of his family. One story that demonstrated his devotion took place during the great blizzard of 1978 when Ken had to trudge a mile through a corn field of deep snow to bring food to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia (Morrison); three children: Raymond of Grand Rapids, Scott (Dawn) and Tina (Bill) Mulrine of Florida; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Also surviving are his sisters Mrs. Betty Henderson and Mrs. Marjorie Dawn Guppy, and a brother Mel (Linda) Elliott, all of Grand Rapids; brothers-in-law Dave (Barb) Morrison of El Paso, TX; Bernie (Judy) Morrison of Sparks, NV; Warren (Barb) Morrison of Grand Rapids; Paul (Lynn) Morrison of Howell; and many nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place.
