Kenneth James Long

Ken Long, 62, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Spectrum Heart Center. He exceeded all expectations after a diagnosis 18 months ago that he would only live a short time.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Long and sister Centa Powell. Ken is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Deb; his mother Margaret Doxtater; siblings Linda Tingley and Larry and Shirley Long; sisters and brothers-in-law Terry and Sandy Blank, Casey and Marsha DeHollander; many nieces and nephews.

Ken loved boating, fishing, Disney, Hawaii, Platte Lake and his dogs. He celebrated his baptism on Easter Sunday, 2018, and we are comforted to know he is now with his Lord.

A Memorial Open House will be held at Grand Rapids International Fellowship Church, 3765 Kalamazoo Avenue SE on Tuesday, June 11 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Paws for a Cause.
