Lenore A. Cartwright (Wardell) of Grand Rapids, aged 96, was called to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2017 and was reunited with her husband Charles; her parents, Forest & Mary Wardell and her brother William & mary Wardell. She is missed by her children, Charles (Patti) Cartwright, Paul (Colleen) Cartwright, Timothy (Carol) Cartwright, along with her grandchildren, Chris (Todd) Christie, Sherri (Jimmy) Evans, David Cartwright, Scott Cartwright, Linda (Matt) Zimmerman, Tony Cartwright, along with 6 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces & nephews. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Baptist Church and was called to serve the Lord as a Sunday school teacher along with serving on several committees and singing in the choir for 40 years. She also dedicated herself in many ways to Christian Women’s Club. She loved volunteering as a greeter at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital. On Friday, August 18th, 2017 friends may visit with the family at Trinity Baptist Church located at 2050 Aberdeen St. NE in Grand Rapids at 11:00 am and the memorial service will be at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church or to Pilgrim Manor Home.
