Robert J. Nolan, of Grand Rapids, passed away at home on May 19 after a long, well lived life. His spouse, Helen Mulvihill Nolan, died in April 2016. They were happily married for nearly 60 years.
Bob was born July 18, 1929, in Chicago, to Robert and Lucille Nolan. He graduated from Wayne State University, had a successful career, and imparted to his four daughters his strong respect for family, love of jazz, and keen sense of humor.
Survivors include daughter Maureen Nolan and partner, Michael Terrinoni, of Pompey, N.Y.; daughter Molly Nolan and partner, Michael Glicker, of Grand Rapids; daughter Susan McCambridge and her husband, John, of Grand Rapids; and daughter Kathleen Nolan and partner, Ron Lev, of Ann Arbor. Survivors also include his brother Nicholas J. Nolan, of Grand Rapids; sister Maureen Peacock of Portage; four grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A private family gathering to honor Bob was held at the home of his brother Nick.
