Ronald Peter Barbachym

Ronald Peter Barbachym, aged 86 transitioned from this Earth, December 31, 2019.

Ron was born January 8, 1933 to the late Peter and Helen Barbachym. A graduate of Catholic Central High School and graduated from CMU with an engineering degree and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Ron was married to his high school sweetheart, Marcia Taylor for 66 years. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, volunteered at Westminster Church Food Pantry and at Hospice of Michigan.

Ron had a light hearted view of life which he shared with others. He loved camping with his family, spending summers on Lake Michigan, yearly trips to Aruba, traveling to many foreign countries, and retiring in Florida. He was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Wheeler; brother, Donald Barbachym, and many aunts and uncles. Surviving are his wife, Marcia; children, Cindy (Rod) Chapman, Sandy (Pete) Kirschner; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held January 25, 2020 at 11 AM at Cook Valley Estates, 1049 E. Paris SE, Grand Rapids, MI. Visitation 1 hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Emmanuel Hospice will be appreciated.
