Ruth M. Stewart (nee Roodvoets) 9/20/1925-7/25/2019

On Thursday, July 25, 2019 our dear Mother went for a walk in her favorite park. Jesus met her there and carried her up to Heaven! She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, daughter Patricia Tague, and brother, Roger Roodvoets.

She is survived by her son, Jon Stewart, daughter, Nancy (Jim) Marble; grandchildren, Mike Wnuk and John and Chris Stewart, who were a great help to her. Also Jason Wnuk, Jeff Stewart, Alicia Downer, Sara Ann Tague and Kenneth Gustafson. She had 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sarah (Ken) Meyer, and her brothers, William Roodvoets and David Roodvoets, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a faithful, lifetime member of Aberdeen Reformed Church. She loved spending time with friends and family, and being in the great outdoors. She enjoyed reading a good book, and played a mean game of Scrabble! Ruth was a wonderful Mother and Grandparent and a kind, generous and gentle woman who will be greatly missed by all.

The family will greet friends at Memorial Alternatives, 2432 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm with a Celebration of Ruth's Life beginning at 4:00 pm. . Ruth will be laid to rest at Blythefield Memorial Gardens, 6200 Brewer Ave NE Belmont, MI
