Stanley Keith Pu'uwaialoha Victor, 82 passed away in his home in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
Stanley, born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Beatrice Waipuna Zablan and John Pu'uwaialoha Victor, was a 1955 graduate of Saint Louis College (a 12 year man), and a 1971 graduate of the University of Hawaii Business School. He retired as a Supervisor from Hawaiian Telephone Company/Verizon (30 year tenure) -bicycling to work every day. He served in the Marine Corps (1955-1958). Reading, usually the best seller, and listening to music, classical, jazz, and Hawaiian, were an everyday activity. Even though an all-around athlete: body surfing, volleyball, baseball, marathon and tri-athlete, Stanley always put family activities first. He was a dedicated member in the Hui O Zablan.
Siblings: Elizabeth (Joe Custino Sr.), Raymond (Pearl), Vivian (John Dubrovin), Bernard (Noe), Julie Matsu (Pat Nakanishi), Tommy Wakita (Darlene), Stephen Au (Diana), Leslie (Doris), Milton Buddy (Nancy), Rachelle Pualani (Roland Hewahewa Enos), Deardra Kehau (Nathan Lindo Ramos), and Alfred along with his Mother Ethel Pahia Kapaona. In-Laws: Harold Steele II (Eleanor), Tom Steele (Marilyn), and Richard Steele (Joan). Stanley was a Nephew and an Uncle, great Uncle, and great-great Uncle to many.
Immediate family: Wife of 60 years- Susan, Children- Catherine, Stanley II (Jing) and their daughter Adelle, Karen (Michael Hinchey), and Alika (Tom Klabunde).
At the family home on Sunday afternoon 17 Nov 2019, a Blessing and Prayers were led by Terri Hunter, First Park Congregational Church UCC Parish Assistant. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Honolulu, Hawaii.
