Virginia May (Edgerle) Fisher

Virginia May Fisher, nee Edgerle, aged 91, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 with loved ones at her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward; son Richard and Brother Bob. She is survived by her sister Joan Peterson; daughter in law Joan Fisher; daughter Deborah (Steve) Friar; granddaughters, Lisa (Tait) Fernstrum, Katie Friar, Jennifer (Casey) Carmody and Peggy (Krishan Abeyatunge) Friar. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

Virginia was always up for a fun time filled with laughter. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, casinos, and playing cards with her friends at Marsh Ridge.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Remembered Joy

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free!

I follow the plan God laid for me.

I saw His face, I heard His call,

I took His hand and left it all…

I could not stay another day,

To love, to laugh, to work or play,

Tasks left undone must stay that way.

And if my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joy

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss…

Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.

My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much:

Good times, good friends, a loved-one’s touch.
