Virginia Cora Scott (nee Boot)
Born May 18, 1924, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Virginia joined eternal life on Sunday, October 13th, 2019.
Virginia took residence through her years in both Michigan, and Wisconsin.
Virginia sang with her sisters on Christian radio, loved arts, crafts, sewing, knitting, and crocheted a lot. Virginia baked and cooked a plethora of wonderful foods for her family. She loved sporty cars and was open to try anything, including shooting guns with her son Larry, and hiking in the Canadian mountains with daughter Chris. She had several four-legged furry friends over the years that she loved very much, and she also took pride in being a naturalist. When you told Virginia that you loved her, she would always reply back “I LOVE YOU MORE!”.
Virginia worked at Ford Motor Company in Michigan, Heckman’s Cookie Co., and a nursing home in Wisconsin. She loved music, and played piano and harmonica, which she learned from her father.
Virginia loved collecting jewelry. She had close friends later in life, including Margaret Harris, and Margaret’s daughter-in law Susan, Virginia’s cleaning lady.
Virginia lived out her years at a senior’s complex, often playing cards and bingo with her girlfriends.
