Aggie Lee was born March 13, 1945 in Grand Rapids MI to Jacoba and Rumka Spoelhof. Born from Dutch immigrants, she had one brother, Ron Spoelhof. Growing up in a living home, Rumka owned a GR bakery and Jacobs was a nurse. Aggie tragically lost her dad at the age of 16.
Aggie enjoyed school and Graduated from South Christian High in 1964. Mom loved accounting, and worked for General Motors and then Hudsonville trailer until her retirement. Aggie took an internship after school at a Sea Life Park in Maui Hawaii where she met her future husband Theron, as he was there doing his r&r after coming back from the Vietnam War. Aggie and Theron were married and had 2 kids, Amanda 1975 and David 1978.
Aggie was always active in her Church of which most of her life was at Friendship Chapel in Jenison MI. Church is where she met most of her friends and she was beloved by all. She lived a life of service to God and others in countless volunteer positions. Later she became known as Grandma Aggie by generations of Church kids! She always made time to spend with them, giving them all Birthday treat bags, etc.! Her Church kids loved her and she love them.
Aggie is proceeded in death by: her mom Jacoba and Dad Rumka, her husband Theron, her brother Ron, and her daughter Amanda Sue Baum. Aggie is survived by her son David (Naomi), Her grandchildren Tyler (Alyssa), Kaleb (Isabel), Danielle (Keaton), and great granddaughter Octavia.
A celebration of Aggie’s life will be held on at 6pm on Friday June 13, 2025 at the Church of the Open Barn, 6421 56th Ave Hudsonville Michigan 49426. Visitation will be two hours prior to service.
