Alice (DeVries) Alexander

Alice Alexander age 87, went peacefully to be with her Lord on the glorious day, February 11, 2021. Preceded in death by her parents Ryan and Rena DeVries; husband of 64 years, Gerold Alexander Sr.; son, Randy Alexander; siblings, Jenny, Alice Jane, Audrey, Elmer, Edward, Samel and Ruthie. Survived by her children Gerold Alexander Jr, Renee Russo (Joe), Sharlotte Paridee (Ron),  Debbie Trieweiler (Art), Diana Alexander (Amy); brother, Leo Devries (Arvilla), sister Treva Freeman. 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews who considered Aunt Alice as their favorite.

For many family and friends, Alice always had an open heart and open home where you knew you were welcome.

Alice loved Christmas music, singing hymns and being in church plays. She loved to play bingo, read, and to spend time with her family. Playing games with all the little kids was one of her favorite things.

Alice had the warmest, gentlest and most gracious heart.

There will be a visitation to remember Alice Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 2-4 pm at Memorial Alternatives 2432 Fuller Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505
