Allen Luther McFarland

Allen L McFarland aka Al, Joe Dirt, or Beeno to his friends and family passed away May 16, 2020 with family by his side. Al was born February 21, 1954 in Grand Rapids to late parents Fern Gladys Lamb and Thorwald McFarland. He was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers. Al was a straight shooter with a heart of gold. Al was always there for his friends and family and would do anything he could to help you out. He had a great sense of humor and was always teasing and telling inappropriate jokes. Al loved racing and working on go carts and cars. He was an avid sports fan loving Nascar, the Lions, Tigers and the Michigan Wolverines. Al was rarely seen without his maize and blue. On college game day Al & Kim (MSU) were a house divided. Al and Kim loved traveling, their motorhome and all their great friends. Al was a member of many clubs, American Legion, Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles and his favorite the Casino Club. He was a long time manager at U-Haul on Plainfield.

Al will be greatly missed by his soul mate, best friend and wife Kim McFarland. His children, grandchildren, sister Jan (Mike) Klein and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
