Angelia R. Sims

Angela Richele Sims age 56, born April 12,1969 and passed away on October 20, 2025 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Angela is preceded in death by her grandparents Alex and Ida Mae Sims, step father Paul Donston, and Jesse Eames, Michael Eames, and Yvonne Parker.

Angela is survived by her mother Dorothy Donston, sister Teresa (Teri) Sims, brother Anthony Sims (Vivian). She is also survived by her niece; Deonna Racklin, nephews; AJ Sims (Raven), D’Jon Spears, Uncles; James Sims, Sonny, Alex Sims, James Vaughn, Cousins; Jermain Vaughn (Michelle) family, James Vaughn (Monica) family, Glen (Dawn) family, David (Chris) family. A lot special family and friends you definitely know who you are.

The Sims-Donston Family would like to thank each of you for your support at this difficult time was deeply appreciated and a great comfort for all of us.

Angelas cremation took place at Memorial Alternatives A Burial & Cremation Service, 2432 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, MI

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday November 14, 2025 at Messiah Baptist Church located at 513 Henry Ave SE Grand Rapids Michigan 49503 with Rev. Dr. Daniel Smith officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service and at time of fellowship will be held at M-Village located at 1865 Eastern Ave SE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49507

A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree.

I keep hearing a voice that says “Grieve not for me.

Remember the best times, the laughter and the song.

The good life I lived while I was strong.”

Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.

keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease; my soul is at rest.

Remembering how I truly was blessed.

Continue the traditions, no matter how small.

Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls.

I miss you all dearly, so keep your chin up.
