Anthony Michal Pertner

Anthony Michal Pertner, 31, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on September 8, 2025, in his hometown. Born on May 13, 1994, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Anthony brought joy and laughter to those around him throughout his life.

Anthony had been working in the Screen Print Department since October 2024, where he applied his creativity and dedication to his craft. His colleagues knew him for his lighthearted spirit and infectious sense of humor. 

He was a devoted father to his children - Haven Pertner, Liliana Pertner, and Kaige Oosterhouse - who were the center of his world. Anthony cherished every moment with them and found great joy in sharing his passions with them.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Sara Pertner; father, Michal Pertner; siblings Jordan Pertner, Shyann Pertner, Amayah Pertner, Maysen Pertner, and Charlotte Waskin; as well as by his grandmothers, Susan Marr and June Ghillhespy. He also leaves behind Christina Pertner.

Anthony was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, several great grandmothers, aunts, and uncles.

A man of many interests, Anthony enjoyed gaming, anime, attending raves and conventions, and playing frisbee golf. Above all else he loved spending time with friends and family. Known for being funny and goofy, he had a gift for making others laugh and feel at ease. His quick wit and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

May Anthony's memory bring comfort to those who loved him and continue to inspire moments of laughter and connection in their lives. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 27, 2025, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Live Space, 4995 Starr St.
