Arlene Rosemary McIntyre entered Heaven’s doors on Resurrection Sunday, April 17, 2022. What a glorious day to join our Heavenly Father! Arlene was surrounded by her daughters as well as the dedicated and loving staff at Vista Springs Northview Assisted Living Facility. Using technology, other family and friends were able to pray and talk with her to let her know how much she was loved and appreciated, right up until her final breath. Arlene was a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior. She was a dedicated member of Kentwood Community Church and served the church and the community for many years. Arlene worked for the Grand Rapids Transit Authority (GRATA – The RAPID) for close to 3 decades. Throughout her life, Arlene was a benevolent servant and always worked to help others.
Arlene is survived by her three daughters and their families: Joan and Michael Johnston; Terri and Mark Portice; and Kathy Myers. She was loved dearly by her grandchildren Nathan and Monica Myers, Kristy and Joel Owens, Amanda Portice, Adam Portice, Cory Myers, Justin Braun, Mark Grigg, and Lukas Grigg; as well as her great-grandchildren, Keitha Batchelder, Austyn Batchelder, Jeremy Owens, Tobias Owens, and Kara Myers.
