Arthur G. Brooks Sr.

Arthur Gerard Brooks Sr. passed away on Friday September 29, 2023 at the age of 86.

He was born on May 15, 1937 in Grand Rapids to the late Harold and Marion Brooks. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Daarah Hoover, Dana Tanner, Dawn (Woody) Parker, Kim Brooks-Holley, William (Julie) Brooks, Barbara (John) Shearer, Rebecca Brooks, Arthur Jr. (Lindsey) Brooks, special granddaughter Caroline Brooks who helped with his care, and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Carol, son David and daughter Sheila.

Art was a former veteran who served in Korea with the US Army. He loved to play sports and visit with friends while having a Miller Lite at one of the many clubs he was a member of. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday October 4th at 12pm (Noon) at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
