Barbara “Bobbi” K. Applebach was called home to Jesus on February 20, 2026, five days before her 87th birthday. She is predeceased by her husband Richard Applebach; her parents Kathryn and Roy Haenke; her sister Ruth Arthur; and all of her first cousins. She is survived by her brother Fred Haenke; her step-children Gail Nichols, Scott (Mary Ann) Applebach, and Kelly Applebach; nieces and nephews Denise Arthur-Bliss (Greg Bliss), Greg Arthur (Angie Cunigan), Keith Applebach, Bruce (Deb) Applebach, and Steve (Lilly) Applebach; many step-grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, and friends and neighbors.
She was an inspiration to all.
Bobbi was the Traffic Bureau Supervisor in the 61st District Court before retiring to an active social circle of friends and family. She was a life member of the Standale Garden Club and always had many beautiful gardens of flowers.
A celebration of her life will be at 12pm noon on Saturday March 7, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2740 Fuller Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. Visitation will be held one hour prior at 11:00am; and a luncheon will follow the service.
