Barbara M. Rienks

Barbara Mary (Kalisevich) Rienks, age 79

Born April 16,1945 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 27, 2024.

Barbara was born in Muskegon, Michigan to John and Marcia Kalishevich then resided in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marcia Kalishevich, brothers Don and John Kalishevich and her husband Bernard Rienks.

She is survived by her children Gina Rendak (John), Kristina Caluya, Brandon Johnson, Otis Johnson Jr., Shawn Johnson (Jenn) and her sister and best friend Marcia LaBenne (Tom) lovingly known as the twisted sisters of the campground.

Her six grandchildren, Analicia Arias (Monk), Carmen Arias, Lee Chambers, Staysha Vanputten (Kyle), Jocelyn and Ian Johnson.

Barbara was full of life, vibrant and quick with a comeback and had no problem with matching wits with anyone. She loved fishing with her late husband Bernie and absolutely loved camping with him and her daughter Gina at “Their Happy Place”

Barbara loved her family fiercely and fought for them just as hard…. She loved the family get-togethers during the holidays and will be sorely missed by all who came in contact with her.

 A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held on October 11, 2024, at the D.W Cassard American Legion Post 208 from 4pm to 8 pm.
