Barry A. Cole

Barry Cole, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2025.

Barry was a hardworking man whose dedication and strong work ethic defined his life. He took pride in honest work and was known for his reliability and determination. In his free time, Barry enjoyed classic cars and had a deep love for dogs, which brought him companionship and joy throughout his life. He was a proud grandfather. He especially loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, could often be found cheering them on with pride. 

Barry's faith was very important to him, and his church family at Eagles Nest meant a great deal to him. He valued the fellowship, encouragement, and sense of community he found there.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sylvester and Marcela Cole as well as his brother Jerry Cole. 

He is survived by his three children Darlene Cole, Justin (Rachel) Cole, Jacob (Amanda) Cole, grandchildren Jeff, Nathan, Miles, Chastyn, Tayven, Ezra, Layton, Alayna, Declan, Zandyr, and Asher, five great grandchildren and his faithful companion Louie.

Barry will be remembered for his faithful heart, being a good friend and his deep love of his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and will be dearly missed.

An open house style celebration of life will be held Friday January 9, 2026 from 3pm to 7pm at Memorial Alternatives located at 2432 Fuller Ave. NE Grand Rapids Michigan 49505.
