Becki Rose, age 65, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, June 17, 2024. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Dick; daughters, Amanda Rose and Melony (Art) DeYoung; cherished grandchildren, Jordan Nelson, Jacob Nelson, and Avery DeYoung; siblings Carri (Craig) Shipaila, William (Sharon) Phelps, Jaymes Rothley, Roni (Ron) Babitz; and Father, Robert (Carol) Phelps, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Phelps, and Grandmother, Elsie Colligan.
Becki was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, and aunt, whose three grandchildren were the light of her life, bringing her endless joy and fueling her beautiful spirit. She loved children and babies, caring for many over the years, as if they were her very own. Her door was always open to anyone in need and her love was infused into the meals she tenderly and generously prepared. No one walked away from her table hungry, and always with abundant leftovers. She was an animal lover to her core, and she loved and fed her beloved pets as she did her family.
Her laughter and sense of humor was the highlight of any gathering, making her family and friends laugh until it hurt. She took jokes as well as she told them, characteristically throwing one or both hands in the air at the punchline. She lived her life bountifully, taking each opportunity to bring enjoyment to those around her. Becki was thoughtful and considerate, forever putting the needs of others before herself.
Becki was a force to be reckoned with and fought her health battle until the very end, with limitless conviction.
The lives, gatherings, and celebrations of her loved ones will not be the same without her presence. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing, loving, and being loved by Becki. Please raise a glass in celebration of her life, laughter, and love.
