Czeher, Bela (5/9/1936-10/31/2025). Bela came from humble beginnings in Bana, Hungary. He and his mother came to the United States when he was only 19 years old. He was hardworking and a devoted husband and father. Bela served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. Working many jobs as a young man, sometimes two at a time. Bela retired as a tool and die welder at General Motors. He played soccer and loved Chess, but his overall favorite activity was fishing.
Bela is preceded in death by his adored wife, Sandra (Noor) Czeher and his daughter, Jacquelyn Godley. He is survived by his children Bill (Joan) Czeher, Lisa Czeher, Julie (Matt) Johnson, Jodi (Brian) Brooks, and Annette Richter, along with Twelve grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Those who knew him, loved him. From his sweet personality and quirky sense of humor, to his oh so stubborn streak. He will be dearly missed.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Porter Hills, who cared for him during his last few years and the Corewell Health team who cared for him over the years.
