Bessie Mae (Dickson) Miller

Bessie Mae Miller (Dickson), born on August 18, 1964, passed away on May 10, 2022. Bessie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph Miller, her son, Jeremy Miller, her daughter, Haley Miller, her siblings Brenda Watts (Rick), Paul Dickson (Kim), Larry Dickson (Pattie), Monica Dickson, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and very dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Dickson, her mother, Judith Dickson (Easterday), and her brother William Dickson.

Bessie was a lover of all people, particularly those who were down on their luck and needed a helping hand. She had a forgiving nature, a heart that always had room to give more love, and a smile that lit up any room. Despite many personal hardships and health struggles in her life, Bessie never felt sorry for herself and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Bessie loved God with all her might, and faithfully spoke His word to those around her. She enjoyed being outside among her flowers and found joy in the simple pleasure of sitting in the sunshine. Bessie’s friendship and love were a gift that she gave freely and abundantly, and we are all so lucky to have been touched by her presence in our lives.

There will be a Celebration of Bessie's Life, Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at New Chapel, 1029 4 Mile Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
