Beverly Selph

Beverly Fae Selph (Reichman) of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

She was born August 6, 1948, in Detroit, MI. She moved with her husband and children to Grand Rapids in 1990, and it had been home ever since. Before having children, and after they were grown, Bev worked in banking. However, she gave her best years and the best of herself to raising her four children, even helping with her grandchildren. She was proud to be a stay-at-home mom, and her family is grateful for the sacrifice and investment she made.

Bev is preceded in death by her mother Mildred Martz and her sister Tobie (Mike) Claphan. She is survived by John Selph, her husband of 53 years; her children Steve (Eileen) Selph, Lisa (Mike) Joling, Dan (Dana Shelton) Selph, and Jeff (Sarah Van Solkema) Selph; her grandchildren Matthew, Cedric, Madison, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Pepper, Jakob, Gabriel, Addi, Colin, Jaxon, and Canaan; her siblings Sheila Morgan, Reva Reichman, and Al (Michele) Reichman. She is also survived and remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Bev's honor at her church, Abundant Life, in Wyoming, Michigan, on Saturday, February 18, 2023. A visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, and the service will be at 1:00 PM.

Bev will be honored and remembered for her love, her kindness, and her service to other people. She was faithful to support and encourage people, volunteer in various roles in the church, and most importantly, love and support her husband, children, and grandchildren as often as needed.

The family is grateful for Saint Mary's Hospital and Emmanuel Hospice, both of which provided care and support for Bev and the family in her last days.
