Brenda Jean Howland age 65 of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025. She is preceded in death by her father Robbin Crawford and brother in-law Mark Mockerman.
Brenda leaves behind her loving husband of forty-five years, Kevin Howland and her three children, Joshua (April) Alejos, Elizabeth Welch, and Jacob (Todd Taylor) Howland and too many dogs, along with her four grandchildren Melina, Rianna, Damien, Miriam. She also leaves her mother Doretta Crawford, and her four siblings Gay Mockerman, Kari (Scott) Smith, Deanne (Kevin) Lynema, and Brian (Lonnie) Crawford. Brenda is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Brenda was a kind and loving person. She had a passion for helping people working in multiple roles in the health care industry over the years, including working in, in-home health care and an inventory manager for a plastic surgery practice. Brenda enjoyed crafting and created beautiful hats. Over the years Brenda, Kevin and the family enjoyed many camping trips and visited many antique malls finding many treasures including many items from the Victorian era. She also enjoyed watching movies and from, and about the Victorian era, but her two favorite movies of all time were Dirty Dancing and Titanic. Brenda loved spending time with her family whether it was a simple visit or a large family gathering. Brenda will truly be missed by her family and friends.
Per Brenda's wishes cremation has taken place and a private celebration of her life will be held later this summer.
