Carol J. Douse

Carol J Douse, age 78 passed away at her home with her daughter at her side on January 22, 2026.

Carol loved spending time with her family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was to go out dancing with her friends. She loved having bonfires and spending time outdoors. Carol work as a cashier until she retired to take care of her grandchildren. Her grandchildren and all of her adopted grandchildren were her world and she loved them with all of her heart.

Carol is survived by her daughter Angela Pope, brother Richard Spicer, sister Kathy Onan, grandchildren Cody Pope (Amanda Ash), Colton Pope (Emily Pierson), Alexis Pope, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her stepchildren Steve (Cheryl) Douse, Lynn LaPonsie, Deb Ryman, along with many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carol leaves behind her best friends Connie Miller and Lisa Remley. Carol was surrounded by special people who brought her great love. 

Carol is preceded in death by her Husband Peter Douse, parents Robert and Norma Spicer, son Marc Cooper, brother Robert “Bobby” Spicer and sister Cheryl Spicer.

Carol will be cremated and a celebration of her life will be held on February 22, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm at The Rogue Valley Towers Community room located at 59 South Main Street Rockford Michigan, 49341
