Carol Ann Ross, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 19, 2024 at the age of 77 years old.
Born August 29, 1947, Carol was a woman of immense kindness and strength. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the importance of her church and family.
Carol is survived by her three devoted sons, Scott (Cindy) VanDenHeuvel, Jamie (Heidi) VanDenHeuvel, and Derek (Sandi) VanDenHeuvel, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride. She will forever be a cherished grandmother to five grandchildren, Devin, Kollin (Caroline), Danielle, Kylee, Kyler and a great-grandmother of one, Ren. Carol is also survived by her sister Jackie Stephan Rees, nieces, nephews, and her beloved fur baby Sophie.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Ross, parents Marvin and Virginia Stephan, brothers James and David Stephan, and sister-in-law Karla Stephan.
Carol found her greatest happiness in the laughter, milestones, and memories shared with her family, who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives with the same warmth and grace she exemplified.
Carol had a passion for car shows, knitting and crocheting, she loved collecting antique toasters. Her generous spirit extended to everyone she met, and her smile could light up any room.
Carol will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held from 1pm to 3pm on Friday January 10, 2025 at Memorial Alternatives located at 2432 Fuller Ave. NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505
