Charles William Reinhart, from Charlevoix, MI went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 26, 2022. Charles is preceded in death by his beautiful wife of almost 65 years, Joyce Elaine Reinhart, his parents, Charles A. Reinhart and Sarah E. Reinhart, and his two sisters. Charles will be lovingly remembered by his five children, Denise (Joe) Simon, Michael (Sandi) Reinhart, Mark (Dawn) Reinhart, Paul (June) Reinhart, and Sara (Kevin) Bassett, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and Tink, his Maltese whom he adored.
Charles served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was a minster for many years and continued teaching a Bible study every Saturday morning at Villa Maria Retirement Community, where he resided, in Grand Rapids MI. Charles is remembered as a hardworking man, while setting an example to others with his faith, strength and courage. He would do anything to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked for help, and even those who didn’t ask but he knew they needed it. Charles was loved by everyone he met and had so many historic stories to tell about his life, his life with his wife, and his family. We could all sit and listen to his stories for hours. The love he had for his family was like no other, and he made sure that each one of them knew how much he loved them. Anytime a family member would come to visit, his whole face would light up the room, and his hugs were the BEST! Charles was a beacon of love and faith, and he had a huge impact on those lives that he touched. Charles will be deeply missed by his family and those whose lives surrounded him.
Charles will be laid to rest next to his wife at Fort Custer in Battle Creek, MI. where there will be a short 15-minute Veteran service on December 9, 2022 promptly at 11:30 A.M. A private memorial will be held for family and close friends, on a later date.
