Christopher Robert George passed away February 9, 2025 at the age of 40.
He was born in Grand Rapids to Jace and Linda George on April 30, 1984. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Emma George, father Jace (Sandy) George, mother Linda George, brother Zachary(Elizabeth) George, step brother Chad (Heidi) Mulholland step sister Sarah Budzyn, many Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nephews & nieces.
Chris enjoyed skate boarding, dirt bikes, BMX bike racing, video games and playing the guitar. After graduating from Middleville High School in 2002, he entered the Army. Chris was very proud of his military service, of which he served in the 4th ID, MP, HVY, DIV, 4 ID, FC from 2002-2004. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from April 2, 2003-April 1, 2004. He received several decorations for Global War on Terrorism and National Defense.
Chris attended the Catholic Church , his faith gave him the strength and protection to get him through his military service and illness.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 18, at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, Mi 49509 with visitation for family and friends one hour prior to mass. Interment at Fort Custer National Cemetery will be held Wednesday, February 19. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
