Christopher William Jennings

Christopher William Jennings of Plainfield Township, aged 61, passed away peacefully at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital with his family at his side on Sunday, January 15, 2023. He was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Jennings; nephew Jason Jennings; and his mother and father, William and Lucy Jennings. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Rita Jennings (Ault); sons Alan and Brian Jennings; brother and sisters Constance Cate of HI, Steve (Molly) Jennings of Grand Rapids, and Nancy Jennings of Grand Rapids.

Born at St. Mary’s Hospital on January 2, 1962, he graduated from Northview High School in 1980. A lover of nature and an avid reader, Chris will be remembered for his humor, fondness of motorsports, doing things his own way, and love for his family. He will be sorely missed.

A memorial visitation celebrating Chris’s life will be held at Memorial Alternatives on Friday, January 20, 2023, in Grand Rapids at 2432 Fuller Avenue NE from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. Contributions in his memory can be made to Mel Trotter Mission of West Michigan.
