Clara Chaffee

Clara Elizabeth Chaffee May 12, 1924 - Oct.10, 2024. Clara was a lifelong resident of the Grand Rapids area. She loved to sing and play musical instruments, and entertained people at churches and nursing homes. Clara was a gifted artist and a skilled seamstress.

The Lord blessed Clara with three sons, Dan (Alice) Chaffee of Holland, MI, Curtis (Pam) Chaffee of White Cloud, MI and Steve Chaffee of Hudsonville, MI, and her brother Richard (Mary) Sjoerdsma of Kenosha, WI. Clara is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Reka (Winesma) Sjoerdsma, four Siblings, Alyce Holscher, Ann Kunz, Dorothy Tamminga, Andy Sjoerdsma and three her sons, Walter, Dan (infant), James.

A memorial service will be held November 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Refuge Church (New Community West), located at 60 Port Sheldon St. Grandville, MI. Pastor Lew Vandermeer will be officiating and a luncheon will be served after the service. All family and friends are invited to attend.
