Claude Arthur Datema, age 80, of Comstock Park, MI with his family by his side, entered his heavenly home. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Claude Datema, his sister Sharon, brother Roger, and his in-laws Myrtle and Cecil Swiger.
Claude will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sally; his children: Scott (Jan) Datema, Bruce (Sue) Datema, Diane (Mike) Kasparek; grandchildren: Alexis (Cody) Perry, Randy Datema; Austin, Chad and Lauren Wirt; Brenden, Cade and Nolan Datema; Allison, Andrew, Megan and Katelyn Kasparek; great grandson Rhett Perry; sister Linda (Tom) Himebaugh, brothers Lonnie and Dan (Diane) Datema, sisters-in-law Kathy Datema and Myrna (Pete) Pierce, brother-in-law Roger Hurley, along with many nieces and nephews.
Claude was a 1960 graduate of Creston High School. After graduation, Claude spent 49 years as a salesman for Litscher/Crescent Electric. Although Claude had many hobbies throughout the years, his favorite hobby was watching his kids and grandkids activities. Whether it was basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, hockey, soccer, cheerleading or band concert, you could look into the stands and know that mom and dad, grandma and grandpa were there to be your biggest fans.
A celebration of Claude’s life for family and friends will take place at a later date.
