Cody Wesley Penning

Cody Penning 27, passed away on February 16, 2025. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI, to John Penning and Traci Wells on June 21, 1997. 

Cody will be lovingly remembered by his mother Traci Wells; stepfather Kyler Wells; Brothers, Justin Penning, Marreck Wells, and Sequoyah Wells; his sister, Nova Wells; as well as his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John Penning, and his grandmother, Dorthy Penning.   

Cody was passionate about bringing his creations to life. Whether through his hobbies or personal projects, he had a gift for bringing ideas to life. He was known for his creativity, his dedication, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Memorial Alternatives. A celebration of life will follow at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church 5333 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509
