Darlene Mae (DeBoer) Attala

Darlene Attala passed away on November 13, 2024. She is preceded in death by her ex-husband Charles Attala and daughter Tammi Attala.

Darlene leaves behind her daughter Tracey (Tim) Hale, five grandchildren; Jacob Jimenez, Brandon Jimenez, Taylor Jimenez, Alexis Jimenez, Jayden Campbell, and son in-law Floyd Campbell, along with three great grandchildren; Lili-Ann, Brynlee, and Amalia. She also leaves behind her four siblings; Shar (Larry) Thurston, Patsy Luchies, Cornelius “Bud” (Linda) DeBoer, and Mary Bobko along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Darlene loved to stay busy. She was a proud Meijer employee for fifty-six years. Darlene enjoyed working so much shortly after retirement she decided to return to work at Meijer. Every Saturday Darlene enjoyed shopping at Meijer just to visit with co-workers and friends. In Darlene’s down time she liked to relax watch tv, talk on the phone, and play a variety of games on her iPad. She always looked forward to spending time with the family especially for the holidays when everyone was together. Darlene was an amazing baker; she will always be remembered for delicious Thanksgiving pies. Darlene will truly be missed by her family, friends, and co-workers.

A graveside service will take place at 2pm on Friday January 10, 2024 at Chapel Memorial Cemetery located 2894 Patterson Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512

A celebration of Darlene’s life will be held at 2pm on January 11, 2025 at FOP Hall located at 2123 Huizen Ave Wyoming, Michigan 49509.
