David Michael Austin

Although sorrow in our hearts, we choose to celebrate the life of our adventurous son, brother, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend, “Dave the Wave”, David Michael Austin, who passed away on November 29th of 2025 at the age of 79.  He leaves behind a beautiful legacy filled with laughter, love, and countless stories that enriched our lives.

Born in 1946 in Reed City, Michigan, David embraced life with open arms. His adventurous spirit took him to many places, and he relished every moment, often sharing his tales with a twinkle in his eye. Whether recounting his past or the little adventures of daily life, he had a unique way of making everyone feel a part of his journey.

He took immense pride in the home he built, creating a warm and inviting space for family and friends. Dave believed that the heart of the home is where memories are made, and he dedicated himself to nurturing that spirit.

A celebration of his wonderful life will be held in the Spring of 2026. We invite all who knew him to join us in honoring this remarkable man whose joyful spirit will continue to inspire us.
