Diane J. Fletcher

Diane Jo Fletcher, “Joey” to her siblings, born December 18, 1945, to John and Coral in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 15, 2024, at age 78.

Diane graduated from Forest Hills high school in 1964. She met Charles while working at Wolverine in the warehouse. They were married November 4, 1966. She was a stay-at-home mom for several years, a Camp Fire troop Leader. Returning to work in the auto parts manufacturing industry before retiring and doing daycare at age 55.

Diane enjoyed shopping, knitting and sewing, selling at the Flea Markets, she liked to do word searches & sudoku, watching afternoon soaps, 911, and the Hallmark channel. Diane always found a reason for having friends and family over for pool parties. She had a way of making everyone feel like family and always helped anyone that she could. Diane loved her Chiwawa, Dory and watching/playing with the newest addition to the family, Great granddaughter, Alaina.

Diane is preceded in death by her husband Charles Fletcher, parents John (Dorothy) Dykema & Coral (Edward) Oostdyke, Brother - Rod, and Sister – Judy.

Diane is survived Children – Jeannie w/Marty, Charles, Richard w/Tia, Andy, and Joshua; Grand Children – Sean w/Janet, Saleena w/Kevin, Felicia, Dilan, Jordan & Jasmyn; Great Grand Children – Mackenzie, Aaiden, Adeline, Callen, Alaina, Payten, and Payslee; Brother – Mike; Sisters – Sharon, Jackie, & Terrie as well as many nieces, nephews & friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday December 27, 2024 at Memorial Alternatives, located at 2432 Fuller Ave. NE Grand Rapids Michigan 49505, with a visitation one hour prior to service.
