Donald Richard Leistico

Donald Leistico age 85 formerly of Comstock Park, MI currently of Edison Christian Health Center, in Grand Rapids, MI passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021.  He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Nau) Leistico; children Ann Leistico (Paul) Kelbel and Kurt Leistico; grandchildren Ethan and Krysta; and brother Vern (Marilyn) Leistico and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Esther (Reibel) Leistico; and brothers Dean and Gary.  He graduated from Worthington Senior High school in 1953, attended Worthington Community College, and received his B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1961.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960.  He had a long successful career as a Structural Engineer in the construction industry.  He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing and his grandchildren. The family greatly appreciates all the loving care given to Don at Edison Christian Health Center and Faith Hospice.  As the family wishes there will be no services and will openly welcome memories and messages on his Tribute Wall here.  Contributions in memory of Don can be made to Edison Christian Health Center, Faith Hospice, or Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. You may also toast Don with a bowl of your favorite ice cream.
