Dorothy Ellen (Williams) Aardema

Dorothy Ellen Aardema, aged 94 of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away, Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Laura (Larry) Nauta; son Edward Aardema; grandsons, Mike (Keri) Hough, Patrick Hough and granddaughter, Jennifer (Scott) Finley; great grandchildren, Alexandra Hough, Evan Hough and Mackenzie Hough; her brothers Ralph (Hazel) Williams, Dale (Judy) Williams; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends Pat and Larry Groat. She was preceded in death by her brother Mike Williams.

She was a spiritual woman and when active was very involved in her church, Northland Baptist. Dorothy loved reading and watching the birds. She belonged to the Audubon Society for many years and went on many bird counting excursions. She loved to sew and crochet and made most of her clothing and her family’s clothing through the years.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by friends and family members.

There will be a funeral service Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 am at Blythefield Baptist Church, Northview Campus, 4162 Hunsberger Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
