We are sad to announce the passing of Earlene May Ryther. After a lengthy battle with lung cancer
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only immediate family members present.
Born Earlene May Sheneman August16,1937. To Esther Smith and Earl Sheneman in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Most recently residing in Port Richey, Florida at Hecienda Village. Where she enjoyed many social activities including dinning out, cards, red hats, and earned many great friendships. Earlene truly loved the community she found there. She was a proud UAW member who spent 32 years working at General Motors. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver. Earlene will be dearly missed. Earlene spent her last days in Grand Rapids, Michigan surrounded by family.
Preceded in death by her parents, spouse Louis Wayne Blumberg, spouse David Henry Ryther, brother Charles Mier, and sisters Alice Freeman and Charlene Harris.
Earlene is survived by Alan and Julie Blumberg Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jeffery and Kathy Blumberg Wyandotte, Michigan, and her grandchildren Abbigale Blumberg, Amanda Compton, Andrew Blumberg, Mackenzie Terhar and Christopher Elderkin. Plus, seven great grandchildren. A large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation will take place at Memorial Alternatives.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan or to the American Cancer Society in her name are appreciated. A memorial luncheon is being planned.
